The food from this place is my favorite in downtown harrisburg. It is a small place, and the hours are not always dependable, and as Mike above states, sometimes the owner goes on vacation for weeks at a time (and you can’t wait for him to get back!) compared to typical restaurants, so its better to call first, but the food is absolutely amazing. The kabobs are absolutely terrific, the rice, the salad… and for a decent price. The place has its own unique style and flair, so don’t expect a typical stuffy american style place :)))
The food is great and the owner is very friendly. I have eaten here at least 30 times over the last few years. The only problem is that he closes up for weeks at a time. I wish he would stay open on a routine basis. The comments by Ahada are untrue and are probably in retaliation for something. This place is great.
DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. No matter how good the food is, the owner does not clean his restaurant properly. A family member of mine used to work for him and he told him not to wash the dishes with hot water because it was too expensive. He ordered him to bleach the dishes instead. THIS IS UNSAFE!!! And not to mention, the owner is completely rude. Everytime I went there I heard him arguing with his workers over money he owed them that he refused to pay them. EVERY TIME!!! Save yourself some money (he charges a different price for his food everytime you go there…and then brings you food you didn’t order and charges you for it without your knowledge…) and go to a restaurant where the owner respects and correctly compensates his hard working employees.
Very good food, and the owner is very nice. All the grilled pita you can handle, too. Try the hummus, falafel, and kabobs. Plenty of vegetarian options, too. We’ll be back.

Very good food - the Moroccan salsa (I forget the name on the menu) is fantastic.

The owner is very friendly and ensures that the food is great. I tried the kabobs and I wasn’t disappointed. Great place for lunch downtown.
