I’ve been going to Akitas since the day it opened and continued to stay a loyal and frequent diner at the quaint little Japanese restaurant on State St. Since they opened, the owners, Michael and Jenny have continued to add to their exquisite menu. The service is nice, the location is great, the atmosphere is perfection. Oh and of course, the food is outstanding. I suggest you definitely try the Yaki Beef, Green Mussel, and Seafood bowl. I also always ask for the Enola roll which is pleasing to both taste and sight.
I will stay a loyal customer for a long long time and suggest that you try this place out if you have not already. Also, price range is very reasonable. Go to Akitas, you won’t regret it.

Akitas has a very nice atmosphere, your typical Japanese style decor. Traditional Japanese music was playing in the background. I started with a bowl of miso soup which was good. The tofu definitely melted in your mouth. I would’ve liked it more if it had scallions in it. The fish was fresh. The owners were very friendly and attentive to my needs. The prices are very competitive. I will definitely be going back.
