35 Reviews for “Arooga’s”

Just picked up two toasted Italian subs. Disgusting. Subs were hardly warm. Rolls not “toasted”. Tomato slivers and soggy lettuce. Where’s the meat? Fries tasted like they were under a warmer light for an hour. $21.75 including tax. Rip off. Go to Naples.

I’d like to start by saying that I am not a unreasonable customer, and that I almost never complain about my experiences at restaurants. Having worked in food service before, I know what a difficult and nerve-racking job it is. But my experience at the Arooga’s on the Carlisle Pike was so horrible that I felt I needed to report it. My girlfriend and I went to this Arooga’s for our friend’s birthday. We never go to Arooga’s, but it was our friend’s birthday and that’s where she wanted to go. First, they lost our reservation - one that had been made weeks in advance - and attempted to make us pay a $10 cover per person for the UFC that was being shown that night. They had neglected to mention that there would be a $10 cover when we made the reservation. When we finally got a table it was very cold and there was a strange odor, like vinegar or some kind of cleaning product. The pitcher well drinks we were given were very watered down and overpriced. The waitress messed up my order, bringing me 5 wings when I had asked for 10. When they brought the missing 5, I was told that I would only have to pay for the first 5, but later this was changed and they charged me for 10 anyway. My girlfriend ordered cheddar and bacon potato skins because they had run out of the mozzarella triangles that she had originally ordered. The potato skins turned out to be cold in the middle and the cheese wasn’t completely melted, making her lose her appetite after one bite and had to send them back. Overall, the experience was so bad that it was almost funny how consistently awful it was. I felt like anything that happened to us after leaving Arooga’s would be more enjoyable by comparison, like getting a paper cut or cleaning my cat’s litter box. The place was loud, cold and smelly. Food and drinks were way overpriced for their level of quality. I don’t think I will ever go to an Arooga’s again, unless forced at gun point.

Obviously nobody has read this I posted some time ago and nothing has changed! DO THEY EVEN CARE?? SHAME ON YOU OWNERS!!

First I would like to call out the owner and the various managers of Aroogas! I mean come on…don’t you guys read the reviews or anything that relates to your restaurants? Obviously NOT! If you did you could clearly see that you guys are blowing away business with the horrible service DAILY and your reputation can only last so long as your last review and dissatisfied customers. I have eaten at several of your places when you first opened and it was great…and since then several times lately…and I will tell you this…THE BAD REVIEWS are SPOT on…it’s horrible! Your servers think they can let the customers wait until they finish applying their lipstick or swooshing their hair then come over and give bad attitude! NOT going to fly much longer…unless you’ve made so much money that you just don’t give a crap anymore and feel that providing bad service and less than average food is sufficient enough for the suckers to keep coming back and rely on first timers THAT will NEVER come back after their horrible first time! Now we all know times are tough and the dollars are short…You would think that all of you (including the lazy servers & cooks) would kiss the ground each customer walks on to keep getting their business…BUT I see that you just don’t care anymore! I feel sorry for you and the public that continues to patronize your less than average places! I for one have eaten my last meal at any of your locations until I start reading some GREAT reviews! Sad to see another staple in this community take the lazy and easy way out! I’m disgusted and you all should be ashamed of these reviews that overshadow everything that used to be!

I stopped going to Aroogas years ago but decided to give it another try the other night. I now remember why I don’t go there. Within 10 minutes I had developed a headache because the volume of the commercials through the speaker located right above my head became so incredibly loud I had to basically yell for the other person at my table to hear me during every commercial break.
The menu doesn’t even include available fountain drinks and when I asked for a drink menu to see the pricing of alcohol I was told that there are only 5 drink menus for the whole restaurant and that I could not get one. The margarita we ordered was served in what felt like a 10 lb glass straight from the dishwasher so the fact that we paid $7 for an alcoholic drink that tasted as if they forgot the alcohol was made to taste even worse since almost all the ice melted immediately. Not to mention that there was so much salt in the bottom of the glass I got a mouthful of salt whenever I tried to take a sip of this disgustingly watered down and lukewarm beverage.
Finally, I ordered wings and a salad, which I don’t believe to be that difficult of an order or fulfill. Well I did get the wings but I was never brought my salad and the waitress still tried to charge me for it and then never even apologized when I told her I wouldn’t be paying for what I never received. I will make sure that this time I don’t forget why I avoid this awful restaurant and will NEVER go there again. Do NOT waste your time and money at Aroogas!!!

Went to Aaroogas on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at about 6:30 pm, to celebrate my husband’s big promotion. We (my husband, 9 year old daughter, and I) had been there once before and the service was extremely slow but we chalked that up to them just opening the Carlisle Pike location. Tuesday night they offer all-you-can-eat crab legs and my daughter was absolutely thrilled because she LOVES crab. So we order 2 entrees and get her the crab special. It took 40 minutes for us to get our food! So I wait until my daughter is half way through her crab legs and asked waitress to put in her next order. Still incredibly slow. After her third plate, our waitress returns to tell us THEY ARE OUT OF CRAB LEGS and walks off. Can you believe it?This is not some new crab promotion, they have this EVERY Tuesday! My kid was disappointed and sad and STILL HUNGRY. The waitress did not offer her anything else to eat (except for some old French fries and I didn’t spend $19.95 for all-you-can-eat fries!). She didn’t offer us a discount. appetizer coupon or anything (well she did want to sell us dessert). It was like “Sorry. We ran out of crab. Go home”. What infuriated me most was that my 9 year old daughter said she was still hungry to me AND the waitress and the waitress walked off leaving her that way. We spent $50 on a meal and still had to go home and cook! I didn’t bother talking to a manager cuz she was kneeling beside us in the booth flirting with two dudes and I didn’t want to ruin our dinner any
further. I’LL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN BECAUSE THEIR SERVICE SUCKS AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SEVERLY LACKING IF NOT NON-EXISTENT.

    Brandy Says:

I always wonder why I come back to this place. Every single time I have gone to Arooga’s the service is horrendous!

During my last visit, I sat for over 15 minutes. The waitress did not even look at us or acknowledge we were there. At the 20-minute mark, the hostess sat an older couple beside us and within five minutes, the waitress waited on them. She didn’t even talk to us until we got up to leave and she asked very rudely if we were going to order anything or if we were just going to leave. What makes matters worse is we were two of the only six people that were in the dining area. Three waitresses were chatting on the other side of the room. I wish we would have spoken to the manager before we left. I couldn’t believe it.

That wasn’t the first time. I have been there over five times in the last three months and each time is worse than the last. I keep thinking they will get it together.

They asked if you were there before, and I replied, yes, but I came back anyhow. Food good, but service is, well there is no service. Don’t know why people keep going back. I have had it, I turned in my MVP card to the manager.

    Sarah Says:

Food is decent but service is horrible. We have done take out a few times, and the food is never ready when we arrive to pick it up. They also mess up the take out order every time we have ordered. On one occasion, they charged us for a pitcher of beer on our take out order. Unfortunately, my husband did not notice it on the bill. I caught it when we got home. I could never get in touch with a manager to complain. I finally gave up. I refuse to try them again.

    Joe Says:

Took my family to the Hampden Twp. Arooga’s last night for my daughter’s birthday. (her choice). The place is very nice for a sports bar and the menu is huge, but mostly bar type food, which is fine. Draft beer selection is not great. My daughter and I went for the special, which was boneless wings, while my wife chose the chicken cordon blue and my son got the guacamole burger.
After waiting 50 minutes, our food finally came and it was NOT worth the wait. The boneless chicken wings were something you’d buy in the freezer section at the supermarket and they were so overcooked that they were petrified on the edges. The burger was tasteless and the cordon blue was very average. Portions are pretty skimpy and the fries were cold.
I don’t blame the waitress; she was pleasant, but the food was dreadful. It is very disappointing, because the atmosphere is nice. I suspect it will go the way of Damon’s and the Grille before it. Out of business.

Aroogas is the greatest sports bar that I have ever been to. I just moved to Harrisburg from Chicago and there is nothing like Aroogas there. Best wings period! Almost Everything sauce is amazing along with the blue cheese. Cant wait for March Madness

    Adam Says:

Been to both 22 and Linglestown restaurants multiple times (2-3 times Ltown, 5-6 22). While the menu and bar are large, the service is horrible. Forgetting silverware, letting cups go dry, waiting forever for your meal are all things you have to expect when dining. While some of the servers look great in the uniform tights, others should be allowed (or forced) to wear something not so tight.

Their wings are good, don’t get me wrong and the selection of flavors is extensive, but I somehow always leave there feeling as though I didn’t get as much as I paid for. Fries are extra and so a beer, wings and fries will run you a good 15-20 bucks. For that, I’d prefer the wings from either Ted’s or The Eagle Motel.

So why have I continued to go back? It’s got a ton of tv’s to watch the game on. Ted’s and The Eagle don’t offer near as much football wise. After visiting the casino’s SkyBox recently, I’ve also learned not to enjoy Arooga’s tv setup so much. The Skybox places 20 tv’s in row’s so that no matter where you sit, you can watch any 1 of 20 televisions. While Aroogoa’s has tv’s in each booth, you are only limited to one tv and while at the bar 2-3 maybe 4 depending where you sit.

Beer prices aren’t bad and the wings are plump. But as soon as another place set’s up a few extra tv’s, I’ll be headed there for better service.

Most recently I was there for a Thursday night NFL game. I saw they were having a boneless wing special so I invited the guys out for wings and beer. We got there at 8:45. We waited to be sat, looked over our menu’s and ordered our drinks from the waitress. When she brought our drinks back she asked for our order. I went first advising her we would all be having the boneless wing special. She told us it ended at 9pm and that we would have to pay full price (.89ea instead of .49ea) at almost twice the price. Having my mindset, I still ordered. After the meal, I asked to speak to the manager and told him that the website did not specify a 9pm cutoff (and still doesn’t - http://www.aroogas.com/events) and that even so, we were there at 8:45. Had we known about the cutoff, we would have ordered our food with our drinks. The manager apologized, but offered not credits to the bill. I then purchased a $50 gift card at Sheetz across the street figuring it would be of better service for my sister to pump her own gas as a Christmas present then by having to deal with Arooga’s service.

This place is great. Great wings. Now I know why everyone says they are the best. To my surprise the fajitas were wonderful. They came out sizzling. Cheap beer prices too. I love how there are tvs everywhere. No one ever writes anything good and I just thought I’d say how great this place is. My kids love it too.

Went to the Arooga’s on Rte 22 on June 26th. Ordered a chinese chicken wrap. To my surprise, there was a baby cockroach crawling around in my food! Disgusted both me and my brother who was sitting right next to me. I will NOT be back there ever again.

    winger Says:

This place (at least the one in Camp Hill) is lousy. I’ve tried it three times each with increasing dissapointment. The wings (their claim to fame) are not good and they charge you for every request. First visit the wings were undercooked…second visit I opted for “twice baked” for an upcharge. So yeah, you have to pay more to get your food actually cooked. Hope you like salt - because everything there is excessivley salted. Service is par for a busy sports bar and the atmosphere is more frat-house than sports bar. Yes there are a lot of TVs and, for that reason only, it’s not a bad place to catch a game if you eat before you go.

    JIM Says:

I have been to aroogas on 22 a couple of times and yes, the wings are great and much of the other food is also good but the service just flat out SUCKS!! We went there the other night and they told us there would be a wait so we put our name in behind the 10 other people and we were willing to wait. As we sat and watched more people come in and put their names in for table and wait we noticed people who came in after us and put their names in AFTER US got a table before we did? So when asked at server at the front door she said the manager took these people over all the other people waiting but she did not know why and thought it was wrong. We spoke to the manager who lied to our face and told us that they have reservations, which we heard the group of 4 and group of 2 say when they walk in the door that they did not make reservations and we saw them put their name. also the server shook her head. I don’t care how good the food is at aroogs, they treats the people like shit and if you should need something you can never find a bartender or server because they are always talking to their friends at the bar or they are on their cell phones. I will not go back I don’t care how good the food is, there are plenty of other great places in Harrisburg to good wings.

    Peter Smith Says:

My girlfriend and I have been to Aroogas on Rt. 22 a number of times. Mostly good, but the last time we went (about a month ago) early in the evening and there was not a single server or bartender in the place. The phones were ringing off the hook. We sat at the bar for 10 minutes and then left. There were about 15 other people in the bar, but no employees. As we drove away around the back we saw all the staff sitting outside on the sidewalk and on some chairs smoking, and talking on their cell phones. Haven’t been back since.

I’ve been to the West Shore location twice now, and both times our experience was great. Food was good, beer was nice and cold, and reasonably priced, the service was great too. A great place to enjoy a game!

    John Says:

Ive been to both Aroogas restaurants and have had nothing but great service and food. There is no place in the area that can compare. From the cold cold draft beer to 40 different wings sauces. It has a comfortable atmosphere and has a widde variety of people who go there. If it wasnt so good youd actually be a able to get a parking spot at either of them and that never happens

    jumbalya Says:

Kokomos was great even if you had wait “a few minutes”(10-15 min.) for a table.
The Camp Hill location has terrible service, cold food, loud music and a horrible tap selection.
The wings are in no way as good as Kokomos was.
You wait forever for a table on weekend nights and your meal is always COLD.
If your young and want to drink expensive domestic draft beer and park along a major highway berm risking a wrecked car or an expensive parking ticket when you come out, this place is for you.
The parking lot is always totally full w/ people parking where they shouldn’t and it takes you 6 trys back and forth to get out of your space if you were lucky enough to get one at the end of the lot.

    In two words “Avoid it”.

  24. 12
    Cody Says:

I’ve been to the one right off of 22 and the food was very good the loaded fries were good but they changed the sauce that comes with it from what kokomos had and it’s not good at all. the wings were done good and crispy. I was satisfied with the food over all. But the service is a bunch of blondes that would rather be self vomiting in the bathroom staring in the mirror then serving you. Because I guess they think they’re hot… PS ladies you’re serving at a restraunt there is nothing glorified about that =D

    WingFan Says:

I’ve been to Arooga’s on 22 and the Arooga’s in Camp Hill with varied experiences.

The Camp Hill location seems to be more of a bar/frat house atmosphere than a restaurant. The food comes out cool, sometimes warm, but definitely not hot. The wings, which are some of my favorite in this area, have come out cool on the outside and dry on the inside during at least 65% of my visits there. Majority of the staff seem to be more interested in socializing with co-workers/friends/significant others than doing their jobs. Try getting a drink at the bar while the bartender plays with her cell phone!

I’m a HUGE sports fan, but the number of TVs in this place is outright gaudy and hardly enjoyable. Don’t EVER try to go for a meal on the day of a sporting event because you’ll be annoyed by drunk 30somethings thinking they’re still 20somethings.

Arooga’s on 22 seems to be more of a family-friendly atmosphere. The servers actually recognize your presence though still have the same “socializing issue” as the Camp Hill location (not nearly as bad). My only issue with this location is their timing. I’ve been there at least 50 times if not more and I can only remember a handful of times where the appetizer came out before the meal, not simultaneously.

All in all I do like Arooga’s, I just get frustrated by bad service, rude fellow diners, and good food turned bad by staff laziness.

    My Rating is OKAY
Many of the bartenders are very nice an they even smile. Some of the ( I think I am beautiful )in the evening think they are doing you A favor no smiles, no thank you, they walk past empty beer glasses to talk to their friends. The only reason I go there is for my friends who along with me are looking for another place to spend our money.

    P.S
I hope this information will make changes to make your customer’s visit
    A better one.

The food is okay BUT overpriced. The service is horrible. I keep going because I’m friends with a couple people that work there. Now they even talk about how terrible the ownership is and how miserable everyone is. Oh, and we thought Wednesday nights were starting to improve with the addition of DJ Hollywood. Well, we just found out they aren’t bringing him back!

    chip Says:

Went to the Camp Hill location this past Sunday. The place was crowded, mostly with Eagles fans. Sat at the bar and waited for a friend….behind the bar were three female bartenders dressed in the arooga referee outfits …..I was served fairly quickly by a friendly bartender that took the time to actually look me in the eye and smile (it was her first day) the other two bartenders seemed to be not so friendly, but it was busy, so that may not be a fair statement.

The place is sports bar overkill, they knocked out some walls, put a bunch of neon signs up and covered the place in flat screen tv’s …it looks cool in the bar, but in the restaurant area the rows of screens hanging from the ceiling aren’t functional and make it look like you are in your local circuit city. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, the pork was fine and tasty, the bun was kind of hard, my friend ordered the Thai sauce wings and they were great. Beer was cold, and our waitress lacked a bit in the personality department , but she was fast and pleasant.

The place still has a leaky roof…there was a bucket on a chair catching dripping water when you walk in.

Overall, there is potential for sure….live music seems to be a popular draw for the nightlife, and I doubt that they will be doing any. Aroogas seems to be very guy friendly, attractive bartenders, flat screens everywhere (even in the urinal) pool tables, Golden Tee, wings ,burgers and beer. It will be interesting to see if they pull a crowd once the novelty wears off.

    Melissa Says:

I have now been to both the Rte 22 location and the Camp Hill location. Unfortunately, both have been unpleasant experiences. The first time I went, we waited an hour for chili, a baked potato and sliders. When it finally came out, it was all cold. The manager came over and told us he’d put a new order in and rush it. A half hour later I told him we didn’t want to wait any longer. We were starving at this point. After an hour and a half, we went somewhere else to eat. The wairess pointed out that they took the charges off our tab. I pointed out that I didn’t eat anything and therefore didn’t have a tab to pay. Saturday (Nov 22,2008) we went to the Camp Hill location. There was no hostess for 5 minutes, so we sat at the bar. (At one point people were seating themselves until they got yelled at. The customers yelled back that they had been waiting forever for someone to seat them). Our drinks tasted like soda. We’re not big drinkers, but if we wanted a soda, we’d order a soda and save some money. We watched the male bartender mix the drinks and they don’t even put a whole shot in a large glass with tons of ice. I asked him to just put less soda if that’s all they are allowed to pour and he continued to give us bad drinks. He was extremely slow and the female bartender wandered around aimlessly looking at receipts. She never looked up at the customers. I purchased half price harrisburg gift certificates and will not even use them. It’s not worth the hassle of dealing with slow service, bad drinks and people who generally don’t care about their customers.

I Had the pleasure of going to Aroogas with a friend of mine. We had excellent service and our food was AWESOME! The waitress was constantly asking us how the food was and if we needed anything else. That is why I am so surprised to hear of all of the complaints. I think that Aroogas service and food is top notch. I look forward to going back especially during the upcoming football season. There is no way that I can miss any of the games with the amount of T.V.’s that they have in there.

I would also like to throw in that I have also had the pleasure of walking through the breeze to the little quaint restaurant that they have. They have fine dining and excellence service as well. Its a really great place to go have a quiet dinner with someone and be able to enjoy each others company.

A friend and I went on Sunday, August 17. The place was near empty, and our service was slow. The beer tap price was outrageous ($4.25 for a draft), and the food was just edible. I do work in the restaurant business and have for years. The waitress took forever to come back. She never asked how our appetizers were. We asked twice for additional sauces. Someone else finally helped us. We did leave her a %15 tip, but probably should not have.

    Josi Says:

Here is the email I sent to them - I also went this past weekend. And to Barkeep - we were not rude in any way… I was there with my 12 year old son. I got rude after an hour and a half, an incorrect order, and waiting waiting waiting… even then, my rudeness was just frustration and I still gave the waitress $10 on a $46 bill that was “comped” down to $36. So stick it - you apparently are unaware of what is REALLY going on there… my waitress was fine. It had nothing to do with her at all. Here is the email…

First of all, let me say that the last time I was at your restaurant (as Kokomo’s), it was fine - great, in fact. I was excited to bring my son there tonight.

We got there at 8:02 pm and it was busy, but there was no wait, so we got seated right away.

The FIRST problem is that my seat was half busted down, so when I was sitting there, half of my back-side was sloping into some crater in the booth seat. So I moved over all the way to the right and was basically sitting up against the wall. I could have asked to be moved, but it wasn’t a big deal - it wouldn’t have been either, if it were the only thing…

Our waitress promptly came and took our drink orders and then brought them as soon as she could. We needed a few more minutes to look over the menu and she came back and took our order. We order shrimp cocktail, steamed clams, pizza fries with the sauce on the side, Boneless & Original Wing Combo with mild on the ORIGINAL wings and hot on the BONELESS ones and a side of Teriyaki sauce and 5 original wings with mild sauce. She asked if I wanted the appetizers first or to put it all in at once and I said to put it in all at once and just bring whatever came out first…. OUR FOOD CAME AT 8:58 PM! It came all at once and they forgot to bring the pizza sauce out (I’m surprised at this point that it wasn’t actually on the fries). Our waitress went back and brought it out right away and said it was still sitting back there. While we waited all that time for our food, our waitress did ask if we wanted more to drink, but we both said no because it was pretty cold in the restaurant and we didn’t want to get colder. So here it was a few minutes short of an hour after we walked in the door and sat down that any of the food was actually on the table. My son (12) was so hungry, he was just miserable. But if that were the only problem…

The celery had brown spots, was wilted and slimy in places and the BONELESS wings had the mild sauce and the ORIGINAL wings had some kind of garlic sauce on them. ALL of the original wings were also overcooked, but my son didn’t care - he ate the 5 separate order of wings (the 5 were his, plus the 8 original off of the combo) because he was very hungry. The waitress offered to have the combo redone, but I declined because I did not wish to wait another hour and then I was getting angry and pretty much losing my appetite. I asked her for our bill and a to-go box (for the leftover fries). She brought back the bill at about 8:20 and I asked her if the combo was on it. She said it was and I told her to please take it off because it wasn’t what I ordered and now I didn’t want it. NEARLY TWENTY MINUTES LATER, some guy comes out and asks if we get the combo……???????? I was like - um…. I HAD a combo, but I told the waitress to take it off my bill because it was wrong and I no longer wanted it. He asked if I wanted to put it in the box and I said “NO - I just want to pay my bill and go.” So we sat and waited SOME MORE (with my son freezing and worried about me blowing my top) until I finally went up to the exit and asked the girls if I could please pay my bill so we could leave. They got the waitress who came and said NOW she had to go ask the manager to take the combo off!!!!! OH MY GOD - what is WRONG with your restaurant??? So, on the bill, it says the combo was “comped” - well… no… technically - comped means you let a patron have a meal at no charge, for whatever reason… I never GOT what I ordered nor ate any thing in place of it, so there was no “COMP” - it simply shouldn’t have been on the bill or should have been voided.

So I paid, gave her a cash tip and got the heck out of there…. one hour and forty-five minutes after I came. That is ridiculous for somebody who isn’t hanging out having drinks, but just coming in for a meal.

I was really shocked and I’m totally disgusted.

Oh - and BY THE WAY?? Your email address on your website is also wrong… it has a space before wingmaster, which wound up going BACK to my email box as undeliverable. I figured it out because I’m smart enough to do so - but anybody else who wants to contact you might not. When you mouse over wingmaster@aroogas.com it shows mailto:%20wingmaster@aroogas.com - the %20 represents a space.

I agree with Megan. I haven’t had the best experience with Kokomos, but nothing horrible. I like going there for the large tap selection, great wings, and tvs.

I was there a few weeks ago on a Sunday for dinner. My gf and I both ordered 10 wings (don’t get me started on the price increase) and two sodas. That’s it. It took a 45 minutes before we got our food. Sure it isn’t the waitress’ fault, but it was her fault for not keeping us up to date, nor refilling our drinks.

You can’t use the excuse that they are new employees, because they aren’t. Most of the girls waitressing there were Kokomos employees.

I’ll go back there, but I’ll sit at the bar.

You’re server probably ignored you because were were upset & ignorant. Usually for the first 4-8 weeks a restaurant is open, you can expect an AVERAGE of 1 hour wait from the time you order til the time you get your food (double that if you get a welldone steak or burger). Obviously whoever wrote this review, has absolutely no concept of how the restaurant business works. It takes some time. Every person in that restaurant is new to their jobs. And they are all thrown together & trained for probably no more than two weeks, and then when they open they are busier than busy, none stop tickets coming out of the printer. I’ve done probably about a dozen restaurant openings in my restaurant career and it’s not an easy thing to do. Yes maybe they should’ve given you a free appetizer or dessert, but they can’t afford to do that for everyone. My biggest pet peeve is when a table of guests thinks they are the only ones in the restaurant. If you were such a big fan of Kokomo’s, I would suggest giving them 3-4 months to get their stuff together & give them one more chance. If it happens again, then forget about it, but don’t come on here bashing a place that has been open for only a few days, c’mon….and you sure as heck can’t blame you’re server! do you know what its like to have a restaurant full of upset guests hungry & looking for someone to take it out on? the servers were probably just as ticked off at the kitchen as thee guests were with the servers….More than likely it’s the kitchens fault. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had some cooks walk out…I’ve seen it happen before…and no, I am not affiliated with Arooga’s, I haven’t even been there yet….I came on here looking for their phone number to see if they still have all the baseball games available……

My husband and I went to Aroogas on a Friday night thinking that we would have the same positive experiences we have had at Kokomos. Well, we were totally wrong about that!
As usual, the place was packed. Upon arrival we were quickly seated. We ordered our drinks and our food which only consisted of a burger and 10 wings. After about 45 minutes we still had not received our food. It was about this time that we were approached by the manager who apologized and gave us the excuse that the computers were not working properly. He offered us some chips and salsa for the wait. As we watched the happenings around the restaurant, we did notice that there was very little food, if any, being brought out of the kitchen. We quickly came to the conclusion that things were not being properly managed in the kitchen.
After the apology from the manager we figured that our food would not be too much longer. Again, we were wrong! After another half an hour of waiting, we finally got our food. This was a total wait of about 1.5 hours for a burger and 10 wings. Totally ridiculous!
Our waitress did come by to refill our drinks but never once came by and gave us the status on our food. In fact, we felt she was ignoring us totally. After an experience like this, I would have expected them to offer us a discount or at least our drinks for free.
I hope the owner learns quickly and can offer the same quality of service that was offered at Kokomos. This was not the first I have heard of the extremely slow service at Aroogas. Needless to say, my husband and I will not be patronizing this restaurant anytime soon.
