I work near this restaurant and love their food but the staff that works there is extremely unfriendly. Never says thank you or your welcome. I’ve been in there before where they will be talking and not even acknowledge that I am there to purchase something. They almost act like you are bothering them. But I must be gluten for punishment because I still go there. They have the best baked oatmeal!

I was visiting from Scottsdale,AZ and the food was great. Our waiter John Suhina was so professional and kind. He looks like sugar ray. I really think he is attractive…….Can’t wait to come back and visit. Thanks John you rocked!!!

We ate there on Wednesday, because I have a thing for eating when the Chef is in house and Stock’s Chef James was not in (we were told he was upholding his regional title as Best Chef of PA at the farmshow). So….we decided to go next door. The decor is definitely trendy and more swanky than other places downtown, but Stock’s definitely had them beat when it came to the plate. Our entrees were not timed right and were undercooked. Also, the apps seemed skimpy for the price. Maybe, we’re just used to the food next door. We actually decided to go to Stock’s for dessert–to end the night on a good note!

I went there this evening. The atmosphere is more upbeat than a fine dining experience (music has a beat and plays the whole night), but over all it makes a lovely social place to go with friends for fresh food and a nice meal with an upper market feel. I had the sesame tuna which was cooked perfect and my company had the lump crab cakes. I asked for no potato and the waitress was more than happy to offer a second portion of veg in its place.

The service was friendly, nice drinks list and nice coffees (they are willing to make anything they serve during the day for you even though its not on the dessert menu.

The only thing I could have asked for was more daily specials offered (not really any main dishes on special that evening, I am not sure if they ever run specials).

Cafe Fresco. is mediocre at best. The atmosphre is Trendy and somewhat chic, but what isn’t is the menu. I felt like i was taking the SAT EXAM all over again, and I am a chef. The kitchen staff is trying to achieve all kinds of flavors and combinations but clearly havent cracked the basics of cheffing. the service was above par however.
