THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO EAT IN THE AREA. WE ORDERED ROAST CHICKEN AND MEATLOAF. THE CHICKED WAS COMPLETELY DRIED OUT AS IF IT HAD BEEN COOKED DAYS EARLIER AND THEN NUKED. THE MEATLOAF HAD THE CONSISTENCY OF MECHANICAL FOOD THAT IS FOUND IN NURSING HOMES. BOTH INEDIBLE. WHEN WE COMPLAINED, THE WAITRESS SAID “OH.” SINCE NO ONE CARED ABOUT US, WE OPTED NOT TO CARE TO PAY THE BILL.

As far as diners go, this place gets a major “suck” award.
I had been here a handful of other times and was never overly impressed by the breakfast and prices.
First, it’s pricey for a diner. Figure about fifteen percent higher than it should be.
Today, we went for breakfast at about 11:30AM. Were seated pretty quick - but that’s where the good times ended.
Our server took about seven minutes to come and take our drink orders- and took another five or six minutes to come back with one coffee, one OJ and a diet Pepsi. Which was what we ordered MINUS another coffee and two waters.
I had the Camp Hill Feast- which turned out to be crunchy (CRUNCHY!?) pancakes, bacon that tasted like it sat in a warming pan for hours, two eggs scrambled (I ordered scrambled with cheese) and lame, typical, boring homefries - with more than one HAIR in them.
Look, I know this place is a diner- but even crappy LOOKING diners like the American Dream on Herr Street gets simple things like breakfast right.
I won’t be back. Not on my doing.
And to make matters worse, we saw that the Hampden Diner just opened next door- but didnt’ see that until we were leaving.
Camp Hill Diner? BOOOOOOOO!!!!!! You suck!

nothing special. average greasy spoon.
