Finally got upstairs to Suba, the Spanish Tapas Bar that compliments the Italian restaurant downstairs. Wow. I mean really - wow. Everything was incredibly fresh and high quality, the decor is really relaxing and beautiful, the service great, I'll go ahead and say this is my favorite spot in Harrisburg hands down.

Tried the Fritura de can grejo - seasoned crab fritter fried with a spicy chili cream sauce, Alcach ofa Frita - crispy fried artichoke with a dill horseradish dipping sauce, and Monte caballo - almond stuffed dates wrapped in peppered bacon with cabrales cheese. All were magnificent. I mean really unique and wonderful combinations of flavor.

The martinis and sangria were also delicious and just right. You need to go to Suba . .

I finally made it out to this place (it's been on the to eat list a while) and I am so glad I did! 5 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service, and 5 stars for the atmosphere, everything about this place was great.

To start we tried the Sanbusik - fried dumplings stuffed with beef, onion, pine nuts and spices - wow. The dumplings were cooked perfectly, I could have eaten them without the tasty stuffing inside. We also ordered the Maanek - sauteed mini sausage with lemon juice, spices,& pine nuts. These little sausages had a very unique and strong taste that was also excellent.

For the main course we shared (the portions are quite generous) the Combination kebob, which came with chicken, lamb, and kefta on top of a bed of rice and fried veggies. I was really impressed, the meat was cooked just right and was oh so tender with a great combination of spices and flavor.

Like I mentioned, the service inside was great, and they actually had a belly dancer wandering around which was entertaining. The place has outdoor seating and the inside is open with a high ceiling and nice decor. I definitely recommend the place.

Sushi is great, but you'll get better service at the bar. You have to look past the poor service in the dining area and enjoy the fish :)

My companion and I a very good chili beef soup, then the trouble began. The salad was served with tomatos (allergic), wrong dressing, when our entrees were served my companion received the wrong dish (strewn with tomatos), then when they served the overcooked chicken dish she found herself without a fork, the waiter admitted that maybe he should write down the order without trying to memorize it, the bottle of tabasco that was on the table was absolutely the most horrific, gloppy, gloopy spice bottle I had ever seen. Coderus Creek soup anyone? Oh, ice was served for our water out of a plastic bar cup. Don't think we're going back.

This place has had some problems but seems to be turning the corner. Their young chef is finding his feet and ready to make a name for himself with creative and solid cooking.
The inside room is large and cavernous, it can get a little noisy, this could be fixed with some sound absorbing material on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Like most places the menu is to large. I think if they were to pare the menu and concentrate on a smaller selection, this could be a very good place. Their once a month beer nights have been very successful and quickly sell out. Their Sunday and Monday night wings
special is the best on the West Shore. I have found the owner(s) to be very pleasant and helpful.

The brewery pub is in a unique building. It is one for the few pubs around here with real ( cask conditioned) beer. The others are Market X in Carlisleand Klingers in Hanover. Unfortunately the food does not live up to the building or its excellent beers. Compared to Iron Hill or Lancaster brewing Company I think they come up short. I would love to see their upstairs used as a ' gastro pub ' as all the places runing sold out beer dinner nights suggest there are people that want restaurant quality food to accompany excellent craft beers. I can understand a place offering frozen Sysco fries but are thy not able to offer real fresh cut fries too, even if at a higher price? Glass Lounge seems to be able to offer fresh cut fries, and the Carsonville Hotel has made their name on this simple dish.

Two words---FOOD POISONING. We had dinner there last night. I got the chicken sandwich with gorgonzola. I thought it may have had an odd taste to it (the gorgonzola). This morning, I was violently ill. I didn't eat out anywhere else yesterday, so it had to be Spice. I have no fever or other symptoms so it is not the flu.

I will not be going back to Spice again. (and I probably won't be eating gorgonzola anytime soon, either!)

My girlfriend and I have not been back since the week they opened. Waited over an hour to get our dinner because they lost the order and if you are going to open make sure the place is done remodeling.. Mashed Potatoes were cold.. We did complain and they gave us a free meal which was nice.. Not looking to go back anytime soon..

The nice weather lured us here for a drink on labor day. We waited for 20 minutes for service in one of their cabanas and finally decided to walk up to the bar and order drinks. After noticing that the beer selection was mostly domestic dishwater, we settled for a pitcher of light beer. The pitcher had a beer can sized contraption attached to it's bottom. I assume that this was supposed to be filled with ice to keep the beer cold. However, it was not and all that this souped up pitcher accomplished was that it stole a whole beer for you! The beer itself was flat and not cold. Although, it goes quite nicely with the frat house theme this bar goes for. It even has the authentic stale beer funk around it's outdoor bar.

I had always thought that this glorified trailer was an eyesore. There are rumors that it is going to go. All I have to say is Good Riddance...............
