So I have always been a big fan of the Eagle. The food is always yummy and the service is great too. The last time I was there I left feeling sour. Food was still good, and service too, but the management must be getting stingy. We ordered cheese fries as an appetizer and we each ordered sandwiches that came with fries. Well that’s a lot of fries. So I asked if I could pay extra and just have cheese on my fries so we wouldn’t overdo it. The answer was no. Okay so we ordered the appetizer and then I asked if I could sub anything for the fries. The waiter said cole slaw. I know they have veggies and things so I asked if I could pay extra and get veggies instead. He said no. I was willing to PAY EXTRA and the answer was no? I don’t get it. So I left feeling sour. I mean its a small thing but it can make a big difference. Its not like a side of veggies costs any more than fries and if it did I was willing to pay the difference so why not accommodate?
So anyway I then read this…and now I am not sure I am to eager to go back. Its such a shame….
How hard it is to find a place that is casual, friendly and really good food-all of the time? I understand why the Eagle is so packed all of the time. Good quality homemade food and great wait staff. We just seem to keep going back and never have any problems. This is such a great place you have to try it,get the crabcakes, wings or the chicken cheasapeake sandwich. I hear the the steaks are really good too, havent tried them yet though. I am very happy that we have a great place like this to go to!
Our recent dinner at the Eagle was a pleasant surprise! They always had great food but the atomosphere wasnt always good for my family. We stopped in one night and had a great expierence. No smoking in the dining room-newly decorated-extremely friendly staff….everything was perfect. My husband and I even had a wonderful cherry martini-wow martini at the eagle? We even plain on going back for lunch with some friends in our neighborhood. Got try the Eagle if you havent been there for a while. They even have a kids menu!

LOVE this place. The BEST wings around and everything we eat is always delicious, and Jonathan always makes our drinks just right!
