I wouldn’t be surprised if the overcharges other reviewers refer to aren’t an accident at all. My family was there Friday night and we allowed our kids to bring their Nintendo DS’s in since it looked like there might be a wait. We finished eating and our 7 yr old daughter had to use the restroom. My wife took her to the bathroom and my son and I went to wait by the exit. After few minutes my wife came out and advised me that my daughter had left her DS in her seat. We went back to the table and the $130 game was gone and the table had been cleaned off. We went to the front desk to ask and had a difficult time due to the language barrier. Two people made a modest attempt to locate it and then told us they couldn’t find the bus boy. They took down our information and told us they would check but it was too busy now. I called back today and the man told me he talked with everyone at the end of the night and nobody fessed up to taking it. It’s clear the bus boy stole it and if I had to do it over again I would have called the police right then. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought that maybe someone put it somewhere safe and they just couldn’t locate it in all of the chaos. I didn’t think they would steal from a 7 year old girl. I hope the bus boy is enjoying his pink DS because my daughter doesn’t get to enjoy it anymore or the game she had in it. If you go, make sure you hang onto your wallet and any other valuables because apparently they’re fair game and the employees aren’t held accountable for their actions. I’ll never go back after my experience. Their credibility is clearly in question and now I’m feeling nervous that I’ve paid with my credit cards in the past. Authentic to Mexico alright, all the way down to the crime and coruption.
Fiesta Mexico is FABULOUS! I have eaten there on multiple occasions since they opened, and have NEVER had a bad experience! The staff is always pleasant, and no matter how crowded/busy they are, the food still comes out quickly! The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is beautiful. I truly recommend this place to anyone looking for some delicious Mexican food in a nice atmosphere! And I LOVE their salsa!
My visit to Fiesta-Mexico was a letdown. I started with a salad that I drained about a 1/3 cup of water from. Then came a Shrimp enchilada which was extremely salty and my cheese-chile relleno which was cold - and tasted like it had been frozen. I sent the relleno back to be heated and even after it was returned the consistency of the cheese was still rubbery. All in all, a very disappointing meal. I will not be going back.
food is authentic and it is a friendly atmosphere, but i have noticed when i balance my checkbook the total they remit is always a dollar or two higher than my original receipt, think about how many people eat there?? start looking into exactly what they’re entering, whether they can speak english or not, math is math in every language. my family and i still eat there, we just use cash.
It was Father’s Day (2009) me, my husband and my 5 year old kid went to Fiesta for lunch.
As per my husband’s calculations our bill was to be around 50$. Being Father’s Day I was to pay it so my husband and kid head towards vehicle.
I ofcourse do not check the bill - make payment with CC and head towards car. My husband being a CPA and love affair with numbers asked for the bill and jumped up when he saw I had paid $117.00.
We immediately run inside and here is what we found -
1) Bill wasn’t ours
2) We were charged 20% gratuity on someone else’s bill - around 26$.
My husband asked for OUR bill. The server ofcourse non english speaking got our bill and this time had included 19$ gratuity.
My husband asked her as per the hospitality ethics gratuity is included when there are 5 people and more and how is that with 2 adults and one child gratuity is included.
She immediately baffles and says “this is not necessary. This is upto you”
It is a scam thats going on at this restaurant. The person who seemed to be a manager and watching all this didn’t seem to be surprised so we gathered everyone was involved and it was a racket.
WATCH OUT GUYS. In this economic times no one has this kind of money to throw on 20% and 25% gratuties.
I LOVE fiesta mexico! its my favorate plae in Hgb. Ive gone so many times i think their going to give me my own table..
This is authenic mexician well as close as you can get in Hgb,
Service is typical mexican…..slow but friendly as hell. Ive eaten there at just about every hour they are open & I never feel rushed, My order is always right and hot.
It is a good family place, where you can sit down and eat your meal and not worry about a bar fight starting.
It is in a good location between Hgb & Hershey, too. most meal are reasonable priced and if you just want a app and a drink they can take care of that too.
enjoy.
I’ve eaten at Fiesta Mexico twice now. The first time I was really impressed the interior is more extravagant then el rodeo. There were four of us me my boy friend and another couple. My friend got a lime margarita and I got a mango one. I didn’t like hers so much but mine was delicious! Food was amazing and the service was good. But this last time me and my boy friend took one of our other friends there it was TERRIBLE. The service took for ever to get our orders I ordered the mango margarita again because it was so good the first time. It tasted watered down and gross. The food came out and some of it was cold. The waitress came by right when we got our food and that was the last we seen her. 45 mins later I asked the bus lady who didn’t know a lick of english to get me the manager. He tried to get me to pay a percentage of the bill but I refused so I paid the $9.55 for my jumbo margarita and that was it all the rest of the dinner was free. Then as we walk out the restraunt the lady was standing right by the door. So who knows what was going on but it was a very dissapointing trip!
