Great atmosphere. The gumbo was just as authentic as any I’ve tried in LA, the only thing missing was the okra. I’m not a fan of the chili,and the waitress told my sister she wasn’t a fan either “if they did make it today.” I appreciate the staffs honesty.

My husband and I have been to Firehouse several times and have always been pleased with the experience. One of my favorite things about the restaurant is that it serves good food (above and beyond pub grub) in a casual atmosphere. The other night I had one of the specials on the menu, a roasted duck entree with mascarpone polenta and sauteed spinach. The duck was cooked perfectly and the portion was very large…too large to finish. I am not a big fan of polenta, but this polenta was by far the best I have ever tasted. The spinach was also very good. All in all, my only qualm with this restaurant is that the cocktails are rather small for the price, though they do have a nice selection.

Nothing outstanding. Basic steak, chicken, seafood place. Rather expensive for what you get, and I can honestly say the meal was just not memorable.
