I finally had a chance to check this place out. It’s by far the most authentic Mexican food in this area. Loved the pork/steak tacos. I tried some of the other meals on the table and they were tasty, but overall the food tasted a little bland.
authentic - yes
flavorful - no
No complimentary chips and salsa either. It was good, but I don’t know how often I will drive out of my way to keep going back.
El Rodeo’s Enchilada Supreme is more than satisfying.
Truly authentic. Service is efficient and friendly. And you can’t beat the prices. The thing is, you can’t be afraid to try something other than a quesadilla! This is not a chain. It’s traditional cooks who use old-world recipes and fresh ingredients. It’s our first choice for Mexican.
Very enjoyable. Very authentic mexican so you are not going to find refried beans and cheese stuck to the plate.. doesn’t kill you to get some green in you sometimes and expect fresh.
We’ve tried it twice, and the food’s just okay. It’s traditional Mexican food, which unfortunately means it tends to be a little bland. Perhaps we just haven’t found the right menu choices yet.
The margaritas, on the other hand, will knock you on your behind.
I would agree the food is delicious, and personally I enjoy visiting non-el rodeo mexican joints but to be honest I was disappointed I got charged for extra chips and salsa. The service was just okay, I’d recommend trying it at least once.

I drive from Dillsburg to eat at Herby’s. The best Mexican in the area.
