We were looking for a place to meet family halfway between Easton & Baltimore, so we picked Harrisburg. I googled bar/ restaurants and on alark picked the Lancaster Brewing Comapny, because it sounded cool. Upon arriving I was a little skeptical, the exterior does not beliey what waits inside. Of course, the decor inside does not beliey what waits the palette. However the beer and the food and the grasious nature of the staff/ owners, more than make up for the architecture. You MUST try both the Milk stout and the Shoe Fly Pie beers. Very well done. Seriously if you don’t think your Amish after a pint or two of these, you aint. No really they are very well crafted beers, actually on several occaions I have sampled there all and not found any wanting.
We keep trying to find better meetinf places in H’burg, but Lancaster Brewing Company remains my favorite. Oh, BTW, the wings..are smokin! and I don’t just mean good, they are gooooooooooooood!. I have never tasted smoke on aw ing as you will find here. In fact if DDD doesn’t do Lancaster, it would be a crying shame.

Travelling across country stumbled on this place. What a treat! Fabulous food. We had the Linguini w/ lobster and crabmeant and the Yellowfin tuna. Outstanding. Chef is from Baltimore and it shows. Service was enthusiastic and professional all at the same time. Highly recommend this place. I saw a poor review online someplace and things must have changed, because this place is a major addition to Harrisburg or NYC…Try it!

I’m a huge fan of this place - beer is good, food is awesome, service is also great (which seems to be hard to come by lately in a lot of restaurants). Their brick-oven pizzas are also very good, I’ve had a few different kinds and they were all excellent.
I highly recommend this place for couples, groups of friends (separate checks were no problem), and anyone who likes good food and good beer!

I’m from Harrisburg but I was only visiting for Mother’s Day this time. Not having lived in Hbg for over 30 yrs, I wasn’t very familiar with current restaurants & wanted to treat Mom to something special. I found the LBC in the newspaper & decided to try it out.
What a treat!! The food was wonderful. The menu selection is upscale (although they do have sandwiches, soups, & salads). My filet mignon was cooked to perfection. My mother raved about the crab soup. And my sister loved the pasta dish.
Our waitress was the best & very attentive. You don’t find that much any more. Doug, the manager was a very gracious host. I’m not a beer fan but I will definitely eat there again during my next visit!

Okay, we took a pretty long hiatus from LBC until just recently, and everything we ordered last week was great. I had the Pittsburgh Salad (flatiron steak, sweet potato fries) and the white chili. My vegetarian fiancee had the seared yellowfin tuna and soup. The only dish that was average was the white chili, and it was still pretty good.
As for the beer, reasonable people can disagree. I think LBC is miles better than Troegs or ABC, personally.
Either way, we can’t wait to go back. In fact, we almost went back the next night.

The food at LBC Harrisburg is great! No offense to newbee, but I am pretty sure the menu reads “Smoked Brewery Wings” as the title of what they are. As for them not tasting like the wings everywhere else…I kinda think that’s the whole idea!!! My husband won’t eat wings anywhere else now that we’ve tried the wings at LBC. They are out of this world!!!
