Had dinner there tonight for the 1st time, & can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu! Excellent scallop app, followed by perfectly cooked med rare tuna, and my husband had outstanding pasta w/ smoked chicken and poblano sauce. Our server, Matt, was extremely knowledgable. In addition to microbrews, the wine list was very nice. Thanks for adding some affordable creativity to Harrisburg dining.

I moved here from S. Jersey and have been looking for Great Food. It’s been 8 months and I’ve finally found a place I’d recommend to anyone. The Lancster Brewing Company on Eisenhower Blvd has met and exceeded my expectations. I’ve had dinner there at least 5 times and have never been disappointed. There N.Y Strip I can cut with a butter knife and Liz, you have no Idea what instant potatoes are because there is NO way they’re instant. My wife has always ordered the specials and just loves them. Jim the manager is always a blast and we just love Tai, I hope I spelled that right as our waitress. This place gets my 6 stars anytime. Anyone who likes Capt. Morgan ask for the Private Stock but just leave some for me as I’ll be back soon.

My husband and I have eaten there 5-6 times starting from the day after it opened. The mashed potatoes are seasoned nicely and definitely not instant. My husband’s steaks have always melted in his mouth and the red snapper special was out of this world. The grade of meat is high grade and the small Cobie beef appetizers are out of this world. We have NEVER had bad service although I would definitely recommend a reservation to save on the wait time if dropping in. The Chef has visited our table to see how our food was and the manager always stops by to see us. the wait staff are well versed on the menu and specials. For the person who wants more than a run of the mill restaurant and more than a hamburger this place is one to check out.

Had lunch there today, very disappointed - especially after eating at the original in downtown Lancaster. Average white chili, very bland pizza, lamb burger that came out rarer than rare, poor service. All in all, a bad experience.

My wife and I have eaten there several times. We love it! They have a crab-stuffed mountain trout on the menu there that is delicious. My wife loves the new braised beef short ribs. They are occassionaly out of a couple of beers, but their manager explained that this was due to their spring brews coming out soon. The waitstaff has been terrific every time, the manager has actually visited the table every time we have been there, and the food has been great. My fav beer is the Hop Hog, I don’t care a couple, but like most all of them. They also have a very nice liquor selection. Every place has struggles early on, but I would give this place a try if you want something different in Harrisburg.

What? Everyone we have spoken to, including our more food savvy friends, love the food and the beers! I think the place has only been open a few weeks and we have eaten there 4 times and only had one minor issue…they lost our appetizer ticket so we had to wait an extra 10 minutes for our appetizers (the manager bought us a round of beers for our inconvenience.) I’ve had the mashed potatoes and they were most definitely not instant and the strip steak my husband had was amazing. We’ve also had the wild game sausage dish, the salmon dish and the duck pizza as well as the lobster mac & cheese which is absolutely outstanding. I don’t know where these people are finding better food in this area, but ever since we moved to Harrisburg 3 years ago, we have difficulty finding good restaurants. In fact, we travel home to Philly or drive to Lancaster for special occasions. The service is also excellent…This place rocks; Thumbs Up!

    Eh…
I give it a 3 out of 6 stars. The food was not that great. The mashed potatoes were instant and had a funky taste… definitely not fresh. Crab cakes had more filler than crab, veges were doused in butter and I heard the steak had a weird texture to it. Not the best cut of meat and it was a fillet. Beer was good, we got the sampler. The waitress couldnt match the beer with the correct name, mixed up a few. Luckily we know our beer and were able to figure them out ;). Atmosphere is nice, a little loud but hey it’s a brewpub. Service was fine…

Disagree with the above reviews. We’ve been there twice, and found the food to be rather good. They have an excellent soup, and we thought the entrees were good — including the lobster mac and cheese and the tuna.

My husband and I went there yesterday evening and were disappointed. They were out of 3 of the draft beers, although the beers we did end up getting were good. I had the Grilled Amish Chicken and it was terrible. The chicken was extremely overcooked, the vegetables were drenched in butter and the mashed potatoes were inedible. On the positive side, my husband had the meatloaf, which was tasty. The atmosphere was also good, so I would be willing to try the place again to see if it improves.

I tried the Lobster mac and cheese. My Lady had the Pork Chop.
They were out of their standard Lager.
The mac and cheese was a total train wreck, still frozen stringy lobster, and a seperated sauce.
The Pork was still raw near the bone.

Wait staff was tops, but perhaps when they get their kitchen up to speed.
