Progress grille is my favorite’s! I know when we go there the food is consistantly outstanding. Unlike other places.. Prime rib is to die for, but then so are the crabcakes. Rack of Lamb is another winner.. And the flounder stuffed with Crabmeat is sumpious also. Another great meal is the seafood in Chemis. Im 52 and I dont feel that the atmosphere is dated. But then I never was one that liked a sports bar motiff.. I like table cloths, soft music and candles. The atmosphere is that of a fine dining establishment. Which is as if should be.

While the clientele may be older and the atmosphere is stuck in the 60s, the service is extremely attentive and the food is consistently good. I am a filet mignon person and they always cook mine exactly right. It’s a little kitschy but I’d rather go here and know I’m getting good food at a fair price that getting disappointed at some Johnny-come-lately or, worse, at some overpriced, overhyped wannabe.

Agree with reviewer #1. Cant complain about the food. But then again I think anyone could whip up this stuff.

There is absolutely no creativity or originality in this menu. If bland is your thing, this is the place for you!

Meh. If you want a good piece of meat seasoned un-creatively, or a good crab cake, go here and dine with the senior citizens at 4:30. Not a bad place, it’s just that the menu is b-o-r-i-n-g. Take your parents there, they’ll love it. Mine do.
