I am in town on business and heard some of the folks talking about their experience at Rock Bass Grill so I decided to find out where it was and give it a shot. First of all, the young lady at the front desk was not very friendly. This was my first time there and I didn’t know they offered outdoor seating along the river. It was quite a beautiful evening and outdoor seating would have been wonderful. The server had about the same demeanor. The wood-fire grilled snapper and red potatoes I ordered was excellent however I probably won’t have the cucumber salad again. I waited quite sometime once I got my meal before the server came by to see if I needed anything else. When I needed another glass of tea she advised me of their “no free refills” policy which I thought was ridiculous since they charge so much for the food and drinks already but that was ok. The food was good but the service was less than desirable for a restaurant that charges as much as they do.

Friends took us to the Rock Bass Grill a few weeks ago and we had a nice dinner, the food was good, if not a little overpriced.
But their customer contact service really sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife and I wanted to make reservations (for 8) to celebrate our wedding anniversary, so we tried making a reservation via the Open Table link on their website, but the only Rock Bass Grill listed is for place in Philadelphia. Open Table does not have a listing for Rock Bass Grill in Lemoyne (or Wormleysburg).
So for over a week we tried calling their phone number, at different times of the day and evening. If the phone is not busy, it rings but never gets answered, or if it is somehow answered it’s directly to voice mail and the mailbox is always full.
So I tried sending an email. The Contact Us on their web site lists their email address as ‘info@rockbassgrill.com’. When you click on that email address, a new email message opens but shows ‘rockbass@verizon.net’ as the address.
Ok, I send the message anyway only to get a Delivery Status Notification because the email address is not recognized at Verizon.
It’ll be a cold day you-know-where before we go to Rock Bass Grill again, or make any recommendations for same. Instead, we’ll take the family to the Hershey Circular Dining Room for our celebration. THEY ALWAYS answer their phones.

My wife and I ate at Rock Bass last evening our waitress Jodi was excellent we ordered the fried mozzerella appetiser very good as was the French Onion soup. The New York strip Steak and The Ceaser salad my wife and I ordered was the worst we ever had I have had better steaks everywhere I have ever eaten. The waitress stated that she doesnt reccomennd the Steaks or the Chicken Ceaser Salad I wish she would have told us before we complained. Never will return and recommend you go to McDonald before eating here real bad. ( I don’t know how you screw up steak it’s impossible)

I recently tried the RBG for the first time. The service and atmosphere were great but the food was lacking. The roast beef was grisly and very fatty, and food overall lacked any taste except for the soup which was very good. The food is overpriced for what is served. Save your money.

I recently treated my sales force to a dinner at the Rock Bass grill and I have to say that I was very impressed! We had a large party and recieved first class service. The food was great as well as the atmosphere.I had steak and I enjoyed every bite. I will be returning for our next sales appreciation dinner and I have reccomended the establishment to our 4 other local branches. Good food isnt cheap…and cheap food isnt good..

I had a great experience at dinner last night! Our food was delicious and came out promptly. Our waitress was very attentive, always appearing when the water was low or we had plates to be cleared. I read the reviews before we went and was prepared to be disappointed, but they exceeded my expectations!

The Rock Bass has a great bar and excellent location. But it stops there. Two different times we brought a large party with us to dine there and the food was not good. The steak was horrible, small cuts and a lot of grissle and overdone. The fish could be good, but was served cold, cause the place was very busy and understaffed. All in all it could be a goldmine….but sorry its not just good. No raves.

I recently tried the Rock Bass Grill for the first time. The food and atmosphere were great, but the service was definitely lacking. We stood by the “please wait to be seated” sign for a few minutes, while countless servers and other employees walked past and avoided eye contact. When someone finally helped us we were berated for not having a reservation but seated promptly. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu but left us for long stretches at inopportune times, like when we wanted the check. I doubt that we’ll give them another shot.

I will start with the good part (I stress that there was only one good part): The service was excellent! Our server couldn’t have been nicer. She was quick, polite, and she never let our cups go below half way. As for the food: This is another story. I ordered the $21.95 Ribeye steak, medium to medium well. When it came out, it was cooked “jerky”. The “steak” was less than half a inch thick, and was well over 30% gristle. It had little flavor, if any, and was just barely able to be cut with the knife. This is my second and last visit to the Rock Bass Grill. My personal recommendation would be this: If you want steak, go to Outback, and if you want seafood, go to Red Lobster. This place is overpriced, and underwhelming. Save your money and time.
