Went here with my boyfriend for dinner because The Garden was closed. We came here because this place had great reviews. What a disappointment. When we walked in, we noticed we were the only customers and the young girl was confused on where to sit us…ALL THE TABLES WERE OPEN. We also brought our own bottle of wine…it’s supposed to be a BYOB restaurant. They didn’t even have a bottle opener. We placed our order (from a very small menu) and minutes later we were told that they only had one entree the could make out of the 8 entrees on the menu. ONE ENTREE. We talked a little about it but decided to leave and went to Little Saigon’s on Paxtang St. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. The service was great and the food was comparable to that of The Garden. Needless to say, we will never be going to Rose’s again. It was the most awkward restaurant exprience we have ever had.
under new management but the food is still excellent. They also carrier chinese food as well which is also good but they truly shine with their vietnamese cuisine. VERY good. I see a negative review here and either its something personal or just very picky, which I consider myself to be so surprised of the one bad review..
Sorry people but I disagree the food is greasey, something going on between the owners thats not right, atmosphere is non-existant and the deor is qgaudy at best. Waited 40 minutes for my meal and was very displeased, plus hate seeing someones love life displayed while I am trying to eat. Rinkey dink at best there are much better asian resturants in town with better food, service and atmosphere.
By far the best Vietnamese in Harrisburg, but also, some of the best Vietnamese I’ve had ANYWHERE - including DC, NY, San Francisco and Chicago. The pork is grilled in a wonderful sweet marinade, the Bun vermicelli bowls are large, filling, and a fantastic value, and my favorites, the Goi Cuon (summer rolls) are always fresh and delicious!
Sorry for the typos in prev post so here it is again: The best Vietnamese food in town. Hard to explain how tasty it is so you have to try it once. You will be hooked.Service at times can be a little slow but usually not a problem and the food is so good you do not mind the small wait. Excellent Vietnamese Cuisine. I tried all the other places and while they are all very good as well, I feel Rose’s has the edge.I love this place. We usually get a stir fried rice noodle dish or beef or chicken with mixed vegetables. Their spring rolls make your mouth water and the wonton (not even close to Chinese wonton soup)soup is very good. Try this place..

Yeah, great place. Definitely try the Banh Mi. I’ve heard this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in the area that offers them, and they’re not to be missed.
Wow, Rose’s is by far my favorite asain food resturant of any kind in the area. I love every dish I have ever ordered from there. Their spring rolls and Pho are second to none. Very friendly waitstaff (usually Rose herself), prompt service, and delicious food (all made to order)… What more could you ask for. 5 stars as well.
5 stars for Rose’s. I had the lemon grass grilled chicken and I’ve got to say I’ve never had chicken that tasted fresher. It takes a little longer bc they don’t start cooking until you make an order, but wow was it worth the wait. The place isn’t so much to look at, but the staff are extremely friendly and the food is certainly worth a try.
Rose makes excellent Vietnamese cuisine. Her rice dishes in particular are excellent. Try the beef stew if you are not a fan of the Pho. If you don’t see something you like, she’ll make it for you.
