This is my new favorite Indian restaurant in the area. Went there this evening with a few people and everything was perfect. Food was delicious, service was excellent, and prices are reasonable. Definitely worth checking out. 5 Stars.
There is no place better than taj palace in the world. You may think i am exxagerating but if you have eaten there you should agree with me, although food is exceptional, parking is not, but the upside is that they serve all halal, unlike many of the other places
I have eaten at the Taj Palace 3 times in the last 2 weeks. The food is wonderful. The rice and naan bread are to die for! The servers are very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was nice and they play soft indian music in the background. The food selection and prices are very good. Give it a try!
I have been to the Taj Palace now 6 times and i must say that I have never had such flavorful food in my life. It was so delicious and the staff is so friendly and curteous. The lunch buffet is a great deal and they offer new foods each day. The Samosa off the menu is the best i’ve ever had. I would highly reccommend this restaurant. Also the prices were just right!
I stopped by the place a week or so back to see if 405 Jazz and Sophia’s replacement was a worthy eatery.
The inside of the place has not changed at all from the previous venues that existed, but really a change of decor is unnecessary as both 405 Jazz and Sophia’s were quite nice inside if you remember. Just replace the jazz with Indian music and you’ve got a pretty good picture of what Taj Palace is like inside. I was definitely impressed by the staff as they were very accommodating and courteous, but with a number of other Indian restaurants already in Harrisburg, would Taj Palace be any more worthy of a return visit than the others?
Hands down yes. The curry tasted so complex and well balanced that I couldn’t help but scrape the bowl clean with a piece of fresh naan. By the way, the bread was exceptional. All in all, I would say Taj Palace serves the best Indian I’ve had downtown, the prices were reasonable and I know I’ll be back to try another item from the menu. It’s definitely worth a try, check it out and see for yourself.
