   Let me preface this review in that I have been to the Melting Pot in Washington DC and had been looking forward to trying our first local visit.

   We made a visit this past weekend with a party of 8. My first observation was that the space didn’t seem quite as nice as the DC restaurant. More rooms with open tables rather than cozy booths. The service was top notch and I believe this is the case with most Melting Pots. Be prepared for a bit of a food adventure and and long visit. We were there for at least 3 hours and spent a little over $100 for two people with a bottle of wine and tip. Not bad for a four course dinner with alcohol.

   One important note, since you will be cooking your food at the table, you are essentially spending 2-3 hours inside the kitchen. Your clothes will stink when you get home. Don’t wear that coat or dress that will cost you a lot to get dry cleaned otherwise you might have to factor that cost into your meal.

   Great new restaurant for the area, delicious food, outstanding service. 4 stars.
