Agree with Brie… Before moving to this location a few years ago, Tropic Chicken was in the Kline Village Plaza. I generally order take-out at this location, as there is zero atmosphere. Also, I can bring one meal home, and two of us can feast on it (I’d feel funny about doing that in the restaurant.)

The chicken is wonderful, the rice and beans fabulous, and I’ve never found better plantains in Harrisburg - even from my own kitchen. They also have a nice tropic pork dish, empenadas and other mouthwatering dishes (I’d like to try the seafood sometime.)

Keep their number handy on the cell phone, and call 30 minutes before you plan to arrive - pick it up and enjoy it at home!
